Cory Watson has been in the forefront of Trasylol litigation since filing the first two Trasylol cases against Bayer AG in the U.S. nearly two years ago. The Trasylol controversy came to the attention of millions more Americans Sunday on the CBS News program “60 Minutes”. 60 Minutes reported that 22,000 additional lives could have been saved had the FDA taken action to remove Trasylol from the market in 2006. Dr. Dennis Mangano, a leading researcher in the field, whose January 2006 New England Journal of Medicine article set out the dangers of Trasylol (also known as aprotinin), reported that Bayer AG had done internal studies that were not presented to the FDA at a September 2006 advisory panel meeting that would have confirmed the dangers of this drug. FDA eventually requested marketing suspension of Trasylol, which finally occurred in November of 2007. The market suspension is now worldwide. We are aggressively moving forward with Trasylol suits in five states. We represent individuals who were given Trasylol during open heart surgery and suffered serious or fatal kidney failure as a result. If you are considering becoming involved in Trasylol litigation, we would like to work with you on any cases you may have. We are only accepting cases where the patient underwent open heart surgery requiring the heart/lung machine and after surgery died of kidney failure or developed kidney failure requiring dialysis. Please note, patients will not be aware they were given the drug since it is given during surgery; medical records must be acquired. Our experience indicates these cases are difficult to find and will be extremely limited in number. We would like to work with you on Trasylol cases. Please contact us at (800)852-6299.
