Alabama Environmental Injury Lawyers
Birmingham Toxic Tort Attorneys
The effects of injuries caused by environmental factors—lead poisoning, asbestos, pollution, toxic waste, and more—can take several years to show themselves.
A child exposed to lead as a baby can start to show behavioral issues, hearing problems, or damage to the brain and nerves as she grows older; a construction worker who comes into contact with asbestos on the job may develop lung cancer or mesothelioma years later; workers in an office infested with mold may become seriously ill after months.

Children and adults with lead poisoning are at risk for very serious side effects, such as:

Agent Orange
On June 9, 2003, the U.S. Supreme Court made a decision to continue the Vietnam veterans’ suit, Dow Chemical Co. v Stephenson, allowing victims of various cancers and other serious illnesses who served in the Vietnam War to pursue claims against the manufacturers of Agent Orange despite a 1984 class action settlement from those manufacturers.
