Attorneys at Cory Watson Attorneys are currently preparing a wrongful death case against Sylvester Corderyl Taylor for striking and killing Angela Marie McCall with his vehicle, and then fleeing the scene. Taylor has been charged with manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident, and is currently being held without bail. Attorneys at Cory Watson are representing a family member of Ms. McCall to recover compensation for her death.
The incident occurred around midnight in the 9500 block of Parkway East. A witness recalled honking the horn before passing Taylor. Taylor then sped around the witness, jumping the curb at approximately 60 mph and struck McCall on the sidewalk. McCall was pronounced dead on the scene.
Court records show that Taylor was convicted of first-degree robbery in 2008 and subsequently served 2 years in prison. He was charged with attempted murder in 2012; Taylor was also arrested earlier this year on a charge of attempting to elude police.
Cory Watson Attorneys is saddened by this tragic and senseless loss of life. We are working to ensure justice and closure for Ms. McCall’s family.
